It is communly known as kinner kailash.It's a mountain in district kinnaur which is in a state of himachal pradesh.It is at a height of 6050 meter and is known as the place of Lord shiva
this place is shrine since the time of devil Bhasmasur .Bhasmasur get a boon from Lord shiva.By this boon any person head touch by him turned in to ash. After receiving this Bhasmasur tried to convert lord Shiva in to ash which is possible only on death.Lord Shiva stayed hiding and then finally came in to kailash and reside their.Lord vishnu help Shiva to get ridoff from all this by turning him to a lady and take Bhasmasur in to place wheir he put his hand on his own head thereby kill bhasmaur.
